GT-R Regency Mustang convertible 2007
GT-R Regency Mustang convertible 2007
Just bought one from States to Europe (still sailing offshore). Anyone here owns one? Would love to have pictures and more information, especially about the engine and tech. Etcetc.
It's not a real Ford model, so information may be a little tough to find. It looks to be appearance package from either a dealer or a shop, so I would expect the drivetrain to be stock.
That being said, the mods look very tasteful...and very CDC. I wonder if CDC had something to do with it, but I don't recall that being one of their show cars.

Good looking car but not for everyone's taste. They were rather expensive as you probably know. The convertible probably was well over $40k. Post some photos when you get it.
Here is a discussion from awhile back: https://themustangsource.com/forums/...egency-454995/

Here´s couple of pictures. More mods (besides the normal GT-Regency ones) are at least: special hood (rised flames and louvers), 452hps, special interior, detailed engine, yellow/gold/black with Silver stripe paint and the rest I guess I´ll figure out when it´s in Finland. Please comment this car!

It has been dynod (found also some old ads from previous seller) and what I have been found from net that some forced pistons maybe were used, headers, exhaust etcetc. Anyway it will be dynod again here in Finland.
Congrats on the mustang. I'm sure the boat can't reach you fast enough.
Car looks clean, I like it in the photos.
As for the hp number,
Being NA, it could be a stroked 302 and have head and cam work.
Would that not get you close to and around 400hp? I can't remember what the saleen 302s and parnelli's were making.

Sharp car! Man, if you want attention, you are going to get it.
On a side note, are there any 'carbon' taxes or excessive taxes for bringing a car of this type into Finland? I've read posts here that the costs are extremely high for some European countries.

Yes it's extremely expensive to import a car from States if it's not an oldie (25 yrs). You have to pay beside the high shipping cost also duty of 10%, tax something above 40% (you never know the exact sum in advance) and vat 24%. So the car's price is easily double the price when it's in Finland. That's why im importing it via Estonia because there the basic costs are lower so I can import it then inside the EU with a little bit cheaper taxes to Finland. Very complicated but saves me hopefully couple of thousand of dollars. If im importing a car within EU its without the duty of 10%, tax about 28% and no vat. Anyway it has been made people very difficult to buy any kind of cars abroad. I calculated that I have to pay now for that yellow mustang all kinds of costs about 20 k$ before its registered in Finland (you have to change also the back lights for EU type ones, add side turn signal lights etc).

Thank you nitola for all that detailed info. Sounds like you found a bit of a loophole anyway. Anything helps. That's a shame the taxes are so prohibitive. It confirms what I've heard in the past.
