I bought Mine from Martel Brothers a few months ago, they are a big K&N rep. Their price today is $41.47 for the drop in filter. I provided a link below.

Darn! The coupon code doesn't seem to be working now, and the n2performance site won't let me add to my cart! Guess I wasn't meant to have one today...

I wish you all the best of luck with your K&N filter purchases, but I'll never own another one. I installed one in a '94 Chevy pickup I used to own; I inspected it about 1-1/2 years and 18,000 miles after installation and discovered that the interior cotton element was disintegrating. Where do you think the particles it was shedding went? Yes, straight into the engine! I called K&N to voice my extreme displeasure with this product; what was their response? They offered me a new one! I said no thanks; I'm no engineer, but it's my belief that filters are supposed to keep foreign matter OUT of your engine, not introduce it INTO your engine.

I only use paper filters now and change them on a regular basis. Keep a close eye on those K&Ns.

Sounds like a bad random experience. I have been using K&N for the past 13 years in all my Mustangs.

I ended up getting the drop-in for $42 after shipping and have noticed a little lag in the throttle response. Anyone experience this? Sounds like it's time for a re-flash...

Anyone notice any difference w/the K&N? Or better yet any dyno results that show an improvement?

OK, I just got mine in the mail yesterday , I ordered it from ebay.
I was going to install it, and was told by a neighbor ( and my brother in law) that with K&N filters, the oil gets clogged int he system, and the senser will blow and stop working. )engine light will come on)

I have never had a K&N filter before, when I opened it , it was just a little "slick" to the touch.so now I am not sure if I shoudl install it or not?

Is the oil on the filter good or bad for the engine? THANKS EVERYONE!!

The key to the filter is not to over oil it....it can mess up the MAF sensor if it is over oiled. Just lightly oil it and you will have no problems.

The cone K&N on my Cobra for 5 years has dripped excess oil on engine bay below the filter. I have had it apart 15 times and never found oil to have passed inside on any parts throughout the complete intake.
