GT intake manifold bolt question
GT intake manifold bolt question
Good Morning,
I had to rebuild my motor and I am putting everything back together. When I took it apart I put all the bolts in seperate bags to keep them identified. It has been a while since I took everything apart and I am putting the intake manifold back. I have one both that is basically a stud where you have to use a deep well socket to put in on with. The other manifold bolts just have regular bolt heads. Just so there is no confusion I also have 4 smaller bolts that look the same but they are shorter. I do know where they go. The go into the intake manifold itself for holding the vacuum line and wires and cover on. So I am not talking about them. The one bolt I have is rather long. The same size as the manifold bolts. Does anyone know which hold it is suppose to go in by chance?
Thank you for the assistance.

Welcome to the forums!
The one odd is a studbolt that is put on the driver's rear of the manifold. The stud part is used to press on a retainer for the harness on that side of the engine, I believe. In any case, here's the pertinent page you need to have a look at of the shop manual:

Hope that helps, good luck!
