GT/CS Console Discovery
FYI: Was cleaning up the GT/CS interior for an upcoming show and noticed some crud down in the console cup holders. So I thought I would just pull out the rear cup holder's pad and clean it. And low and behold discovered there was a cup holder plug about 1 5/8" deep in there! CalStang is a 5-speed stick and driving with a water bottle or a cola sticking up there in the rear cup holder, had been a real pain for shifting! After pulling the plug out, dropped in a thermo cup, then tried a cola with a cover, and finally a water bottle with a cover!! They all dropped down nicely into the cup holder and now fit like a dream for gear shifting! We have had the CalStang for a year now and I'm now just discovering this neat fact! First Lady thought this was way too funny for my pride! Does everyone else know about this nice little fix, or am I the only Numbo who did not read through the Mustang's new owners guide cover to cover to try to learn everything?

Just take a look.
No pictures. Just take a look in your console's rear cup holder. You will see what looks like a pad at the bottom. Just give that a tug and it lifts right out. Now drop a bottle with a padded cover down in there and see how much easier it is to shift gears when driving. Tons more clearence. Nice! CalStang

I actually found that less than 24 hours after bringing mine home. I let my husband drive it, and he decides he wants to play. Completely forgot that he had a big gulp cup (WITHOUT A LID) filled with coke.................spilled it EVERYWHERE..............it took a while for me to get over it.

There's a "holder" on the center console. Don't know how hidden this is. When you pop it open you'll see the "prongs." Wallet fits there perfect. Don't really know what it's for though Inside the center console, you'll also find a coin holder. IMO worthless.

Yeah I have no idea what that is for, someone said a travel pack of kleenex but I don't think that will fit there right either.
Some of the "hidden" features are more like options to turn off the autolock, or the seatbelt warning, etc but that's all in the manual. I wish I could set my remote to open both doors on one press because that is how I had my old car set so I'm not use to it and just rather have it that way.
