According to an article, they modeled the new snakes after the 1967 snake, so I would guess that's the closest.

Yesterday I had my AC repaired. Turns out the repairman was a mustang enthusiast, he told me a lot of amusing tales of his lovely mustangs(and some of from the lot GT abuse, turns out a certain dealership owner round town took his first GT out for a joyride with his buddies and drove the snot out of it). My husband had to drag me back into the house.

 

Dude, your snake is backwards! They should come in left/right pairs, and both should face forward! HAHAHAHAHA

just for kicks i put an extra pair I had on my F-150, I just tell em' its the super rare Eddie Baur "Cobra" edition...LOL

 

well i think they look great regardless. i did some "custom" work to my tbird as well. not many people know there was a prototype Thunderbird SVT car in development before they retired the tbird in 97. It had a raised cowl induction type R hood and supercharger and SVT logos. So i added the 2.5" Cowl Hood, SVT logo to the rear, the SVT Tbird bumper to the car and ground effects to make my Fake Tbird SVT. she looked great in her day. today she looks like an old hag, especially since i got the Stang.

 

The Snakes are looking the other way, because they wanna see all those darn soccer moms that April is going to burn! :drive:

The snakes are not facing the wrong way. On the original '68 Shelby's with snakes, they were facing with their mouths to the right on both sides. Try knowing what you are talking about next time before you laugh at someone, dude.

 

There is a reason they are backwards.......the 68 Shelby. That and the newer Cobras face forwards. I did it that way on purpose and I adore them. I don't know for sure what year Cobra they are,because they were a Christmas present from my Dad.
Unfortunately, my father only bought me one set, so both of them are facing to the rear to laugh at the SUVS and other assorted thingadoos I burn at the stoplights every day.
