Got a nasty shock this morning!
OMG! We have had really high winds over night and continuing into today. To top it off, we have had NO rain for ages and the fields around here and in Oklahoma (just a stones throw from our front yard) are dry as a bone. In the 13 years we have lived here, we have never had anything like this happen! I was in total shock when I went out into the garage this morning. All my work washing and waxing my baby...

Wow!
I'm sorry to see your ride lookin' like that. Question: if your carr was inside your garage, how did it end up like that? Was the door left open?

We got some rain last night (Oklahoma), but 30-40 mph sustained winds with gusts over 70 is just

Does your garage doors have those weather strips around thew outside of the door? I know it sucks but at least you got it waxed so it will clean easier. The Sport Trac is another story

If you have never been in a dust storm you have to see it to believe it. No way you can stop it from getting inside things. All things. It goes inside like water will. I was born in Sweetwater Tx. and when you saw that big red cloud coming you knew you are in for it.

I know where your coming from, I've lived in Lubbock TX my whole life and the dust and wind just seem to get worse and worse. Winds have been blowing 45-60 MPH for 2 days now. These dust storms and lack of precip are becoming more of a common occurance. SUCKS! The good thing is 2k5GTC, your car will wash and it looks GREAT!

I would still check out the seals around your doors. I'm about 200 miles west of you. We hit 60 mph last night and my house is downwind of large area under construction for more houses. My west facing garage does not experience any problems like you have.
Now my patios, on the other hand, are a different story. They are a mess!

Was stationed at Sheppard AFB in the early 70's - unless you are actually in one of those wind/dust storms it is hard to believe that no matter what you do - your going to get it in the house/garage

Would a car cover help? Rinse/wash that baby-fast. Don't let anyone near it-for fear of getting unnecessary scratches due to people "wiping" their finger on the hood to see "how much dust is on top".
