Just wanted to let you know that my estimating software FINALLY got updated with the '05 Mustang. If in the future anyone needs an approx cost on getting a body part replaced, repainted, or both, post in this thread and I'll let you know as soon as I can. Labor prices/tax will vary by area, but it'll maybe give some of you an idea. Hopefully, there won't be too many posts so our '05's stay damage free. B)

Sorry bro, right on the money. Overhaul your bumper, 2 hour repair plus paint: I got $390.08.

Edit: Just remember, even though your damage is small, they're still going to charge you to paint and clear the whole thing.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Thanks for your help! At least I got the satisfaction of knowing is a standard price and they are not ripping me off!

Can you quote the price of painting the side mirrors to match the body paint. Not exactly a repair, but effectively the same. I believe becuase of the plastic material used on the mirrors, the job requires removing them, sanding them down, prepping them, then painting, if done correctly.

Thanks! :worship:

Sorry man, the software I have won't quote custom work. Best guess, 2 hrs prep each mirror, little over an hour paint, plus the remove/install... maybe $250?

I spoke with my dealer about doing that with my mirrors and they told me not to. They said that it would eventually chip and look bad. He said that they would do it, but the price for it wouldn't be worth it. They suggested waiting until Ford comes out with better mirrors that can be painted easier.
