So today is the first day of my mini vacation. I was planning on sleeping in to about 1 or 2. The phone started ringing, I glanced over and saw the dealers name on caller id. Picked it up and heard those magic words........Guess what just came in???? It woke me up pretty quick. My sales guy said to give him a few hours to get it checked out and prepped. So I guess I will head on down around 1 or 2 and get everything worked out. Bananas and pics should be up later on tonight.

Congrats!!!

I'm supposed to be getting the same car (Sonic Blue GT, IUP, alarm, etc.) in Richmond tomorrow (I hope). Ordered in June, built two months ago, and supposedly on the train as of Wed. with an ETA of tomorrow. Kinda hoping to get a call today, though...if it comes in tomorrow, I won't be able to get to Richmond to pick it up until Tuesday morning.

Sweet! Finally congrats are in order. Mostly I am excited because this means mine is really coming. KenP's car was within 10 on the VIN from mine and we had the same build dates. VIN 112200

 

Where in VT05, where in Richmond did you order it from? I drove past universal ford, and they had about 5 or 6 sitting out on the lot. Anyone else near Gochland, I heard that there was a 05 GT500 at Parish Ford in Gochland county. I going up there this weekend to check it out. Will snap some pix if i can.

 

I love that kind of wake up call. I had waited 7 months for my humble little Sportster to come in. At about 3:30pm I was trying to take a nap (which I never do) and the phone rang "your bike is here". Eighty miles later I was pushing it out of the dealers doors - best 80 mile ride in my life.

 

Thanks all !! I'm like a kid on Christmas standing at the top of the stairs. So close, but it's like I have to wait for mom and dad to wake up before going down and opening the presents.

Just got back, took the the long way home. It's everything I wanted and more. The rain was coming down a bit so I kinda took it easy. Very nice car inside and out.

Ok Paul, You're starting to creep me out asking this question everytime someone gets "The Call".

Just why is it you want to know everyone's VIN? You have some "jack secret" program that analyzes the sequence of VIN numbers giving you a probability of estimated delivery based on the wind speed of the jet stream at the 30 degree parallel?

Or are you just nosy?

Ordered from Kimnach Ford. Gordon Walker was my salesman. He got me in there and out on to the streets in no time. Not one problem dealing with him. He's a Mustang guy as well (Mach 1).

 

I ordered from Beach Ford and the new car mgr is a real *****....I know who will be getting my future business though....wish it wasn't raining here tonight so you could go out and have some fun but I guess its better than snow like other people are getting up north

That is one of the reasons why I didn't go back to Beach Ford. My last Mustang purchase was from Beach Ford and it was a bad experience. So that is why I went back to Kimanch.

The rain stinks, but I did my best on the open stretches of the road. I love the sound of the V-8. Didn't turn on the radio until I got home.
