Good week to own a stang
I went out of state for a few days this week and had a great time in the stang. First were all the kills: Volvo s60, 2 hondas, a maxima that passed me when I had no chance (didn't see him coming till he passed me.) Caught up to him and embarassed him, Jaguar, 2 94-95 stangs (gt and Cobra), 01-04 GT, Turboed Cobolt, and an iroc camaro.
Then I was complemented by 3 guys at a rstaurant when I took the girl out to eat. Some old guy at the mall stopped and asked what I had and said it sounded great. Two other guys in the parking lot gave me the thumbs up.
The best part was when I pulled up to a 5-0 vert and theres an old couple (80-85yrs old). They gave me the thumbs up and I gave them a wave as I opened her up.
All in all a great week so far too many thumbs up to count, and alot of stangs out there cruisin'.

I hear you brother..
I don't think a day goes by that somebody either compliments or comments on my ride. It sure helps fuel the nearly daily "wash and wipe down" that comes with this time of year...
Those who don't own a 'stang never know the feeling...

There is just something about these cars and communities. Almost everytime I see another Mustang you get a friendly wave or thumbs-up. Stangers love to have fun and I have found them to be a friendly lot on the road.

This past morning on my way to work (15 Fwy NB) I was side-by-side with an alloy gray vert with Flowmasters, sequentials, and some nice wheels. The car was immaculate! I kept trying to get the owner's eye to give her a "thumbs up" to no avail... every time traffic moved and I would get ahead of her (we are talking roughly 35mph here, it was rush hour) she would gun it and cut people off and do stupid things to make sure that SHE was in front!!
Rude b**ch. Nice car though.

When I first got my red '05, kids would always stare at the car when I was behind a school bus. They would be looking out the rear windows of the bus and pushing each other out of the way to get a look. I still occasionally get that in the '06 as well.

Gotta love it, I had someone with a hopped up CTS-V at the gas station over by my car checking it out for a good 10 minutes...![Icon Mrgreen](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
I don't wave to everyone, but you kinda know when someone coming the other way with one is gonna give a glance.

but sometimes it's cuz it feels weird waving to a completely random person.
i'd wave to more fellow stangers, but it feels awkward.
i'll make an effort next time i see a fellow s197, haha.

Yea but for some reason just about everyone trys to race Mustangs. I know its just an inferiority complex others have towards our vehicles, but sometimes the temptation gets to us.
