Good things come for those who wait?! True or no?
Some of you may know i've been blabbering on MF for a while now about waiting to get a sweet Mustang GT (spoiler deleeeeet!) but do you guys think i should wait it out a little longer to see if all the TSB's get resolved and possibly get more goodies?
I've seen how other manufacturers start putting things in like cool facias and nicer wheels standard on a car who's model year is ending (i'm talking in reference to the projected 2009 facia lift, not the 2012 redesign).
Do you guys think they'll make the California Special body panels and premier trim standard near the end of the current gen run (2008)?
Or should i splurge now?

Don't wait! Think of all the driving, (and modding) you can do in the next two years. If you take good care of your car and really want an 09, you can allways sell it and upgrade. you'd also be gambling on how much the price of the 09 will go up. I just ordered my GT, and I can't wait! Do it!

True. As one who has waited, (~2.5 years), start/continue putting away some $s for your future purchase. If I had bought 2 years ago I would have had ~$27K debt. Now I can purchase it without going in debt. No debt and a new stang now puts a bigger smile on my face than a big debt and new stang 2 years ago. Did I mention that I hate debt?
Plus, if you wait for a summer or end of year sales event you can get an even better deal. = More money for aftermarket goodies.

I waited three months before ordering my 07 cos I found out that the Comfort group came with heated seats. Mostly I had to wait for the 07 order bank to kick in. But, oh so worth the wait!
Heck, I'm even going to wait for the new Bullitt to come out.

Some things are worth the wait, just don't wait too long or you'll end up with regrets - or worse, nothing! Still, don't know why it is taking Ford awhile to resolve some of the nagging issues widely reported on this forum and elsewhere...

To wait or not to wait it brings up an interesting decsion matrix for sure. The facelift from ford scheduled for the 2008 model year mentions a redesign and replacement of all exterior panels except the roof line. The car will look more aggressive and less retro with all those changes. Currently I love the retro look of the stang, it was one of the main buying points for me. Changing all the exterior panels minus the roofline to make it look more aggressive goes with out saying that has to happen because of the reintroduction of the camaro and challenger, so ford has to do something to keep pace. In the horsepower department I would imagine about 330 to 350 to complete the upgrade either with the 3valve 4.6 or the 4 valve 5.0. There are alot of photoshops and some spy shots floating around, but to date what I have seen I would stick with an 05 -07 car. The rendtions I have seen maybe ford is leaning to make the change more like the early 70s mustangs again.

In my case, I got mine so close to the 06s that I would have waited except that I like Sonic waaaay better than vista, so I had to get an 05 or settle for a lesser color
