I plan to go to a track day on Zolder Circuit in Belgium on July 20th. It is open for everybody, no racing licence required, and it's also cheap (240 USD for a whole day, 09:00 - 18:00).
My concern is about their noise limit requirements: is a car is louder than 95dB, it cannot enter the track! :notnice: I wouldn't want to register and pay the entrance fee, and then get sent home because the car is too loud. :bang:
Has anyone ever measured the max. noise level of a '05 GT?
Thanks for any input!

P.S.: the car is still 100% stock.

Stock should not be a problem.
But I cannot say for sure.

Find it weird that at a track where you KNOW modded cars are going to be.....that noise restriction be put in place.

I know, they even have a break between 12:00 and 13:00 when all engines have to be stopped, for the same "noise pollution" problem!
My guess is the track is close to a residential area or natural reserve...

Interesting.
I guess it cuts down on the ammount of cars that would be there too.

You have a month, if you're really concerned, can you not go and get it tested? (like an audio shop or get a decible meter?)

Again, I know stock is fairly quiet, at least at idle.

I think it's those new EU regs. They didn't realise it at first, but that would've outlaws bagpipes (which are quite loud up close). So they did something in a hurry to keep the Scots off their back.
