GMA Guigiaro Mustang

GMA Guigiaro Mustang
I was just called by my mother that happened to watch Good Morning America on ABC today. She told me that they showed a "burnt orange Mustang with doors that open weird." So, of course she was probably talking about the Guigiaro Mustang. She also said "They said you can expect to see this on the roads coming in 2007 or 2008!" So obviously GMA is full of crap or they have information we don't have (haha VERY.... UNLIKELY!)
Anyone else wanna man up to admit you watched Good Morning America this morning?

I didn't see Good Morning America, but I've seen pictures of it.
To me, it looks like a cross between a Corvette and a 350Z.
If it does go on sale in the U.S., I don't think it would appeal to many U.S. buyers so they should just keep it in Europe where they like that type of Euro design.

That too!
Instead Guigiaro Mustang they should call it the Guigiaro Muttang because of all the design cannibalisms from other sports cars.

It looks better than the "Brick" they are calling a Mustang now (05-07). This is 2006 guys, a new modern car shouldn't have the Cd of a cinder block!! I have always loved Mustangs (favorites=65to66 Fastbacks/69 Shelby and 2000 Cobra R) and I like retro "cues", but I think the 05-07 is too "blunt", NON aerodynamic and HEAVY [my 85 weighed 3027# with a full tank of gas, my 2000 weighs 3450# with a full tank]. You have to admit the shape of the Giugiaro Mustang is beautiful! I think we all know the glass roof and the "Rodeo" interior will never make production and I hate the tail lights and "dented" rear like everyone else, but if something even remotely resembling the "G" Mustang goes into production I will be first in line (especially if it weighs in around 3500# and has IRS and a aluminum 400+ hp 5.4 3V)!!

I also don't get the whole "it looks like a 350Z" thing. You put them side-by-side and they look nothing alike:

This was designed by a GM Chevy designer who would like to destroy Mustang. After all it(Mustang) kicked Camaro and Firebirds butt. I'm sure Ford will nix it eventually. I like updated looks too. But lets not make a Mustang a Camarovette- look at the outside door handles does anyone see Corvette?Yuck!!. I get seasick looking at all those waves. I wonder if it wears frilly undies? It certainly does not look like a tough muscle car.
