Glossy shine question

Hey guys,

What does it take to make a paint job look like a mirror? I want the high gloss that just reflects everything, and you can see it from afar. Is that a paint job or can you turn a used car into looking like this with swirl remover and a wax? (or multiple coats, sealants, wet sanding, whatever).

If it is a paint job, how much are we talking?
If it is done by product, what should I be buying and their potential cost. (I already have a porter cable)

Below are two images I found. I have seen better, so please use these as a base and go up. I remember an image of a stang under a tree from about 20 yards and it was a mirror to its surroundings but I can't find it.

Thanks.

Depending on your current paint job,it can be done with different level of rubbing compounds. The Porter Cable 7424 and the proper pads work well and it is alot more forgiving than a rotary polisher. I use 3M products, more expensive but that's because they work.

If you don't want to do it yourself, a reputable body shop will do it for $200.

If you want the so shiny it looks wet, this is what you have to do.

1) Wash and dry your car, use good non scratch rag/towels.
2) Use a polish to get swirls and other road grime off.
3) Use a synthetic wax/sealant for the base coat.
4) Use a good wax and be amazed!

That. But add a step of clay bar between steps 1&2.

People never believed my car was goin on 9 and a half years old!
Black mirror rolling around, and i ised several different products
Meg's clay kit
Porter DA 7424 buffer
Full zaino treatment
Klasse polish
Klasse sealant
Collinite 915
Pinnacle souveran
Its alot of time and money but its worth it! Especially if you only need to do this once or twice a year thanks to the klasse products(:
Maybe a coat of wax every month or two just to keep the shine and a quick detail spray at least once a week

I'm not that lucky. The roads here are always covered with mud and other gunk from farm trucks.
