This is what the Service tech told me. If you have a build date after Jan. 05,Ford did not put in the module for the Global Remote. I asked if he could try it anyway and he said "Yes, but it would take 45 minutes to do." I didn't have 45 mins. Any thoughts?

Isn't there a long post on this very topic? Not sure what you are asking. If you car was built after that date, you don't have it.

Several people have had theirs activated as late as March delivery. I think the tech is full of it or misinformed.

same story I heard, there's another thread on it with dealer's that have re-activated it

I don't know if I should try another local dealer or not, as I'm pretty sure Ford is telling all the dealers now not to mess with it

try a search on global open and you should find the thread

I was even told by Ford Customer Service that you can't get the open/close any longer after the January date. BS BS BS, I want it!

Surely they know how to use a phone. They're tech's for God's sake!
