I haven't emailed Dr. Gas and doubt I will. My brother recently got an x-pipe from them and it looked cheap, like metal fence post pipes and you have to weld them together, on top of that they gave him crap service when he sent them back. I heard they make good gains, but I think you could probably do the same with a custom exhaust and still make it look better.

Motive Performance (gears): "Not sure what is in the 2005's yet, but my guess is that our current gears will work. We have a rear coming from Ford to check out in the net month.......

MG"

Arias: "WHAT BORE, COMP. RATIO, AND USE?"

A.C.T.: "We currently don't make clutches for any large displacement domestic cars. We are coming out with a line for the Fox and SN95 and up chassis Mustangs in a few months. Once those are released we will be looking at the 2K5 Stangs.

Thanks,

All this info on aftermarket companies is useful... but it is hard to keep track of. Maybe one of the Moderators can start some sort of post that can be updated with all aftermarket companies in some sort of order related to parts. Somewhere we can easily go and see the latest updates on what companies are offering and when. Just a thought. It's still early too... it's only going to get more confusing as time goes on. That way, in a month or so when I tell my wife I want a CAI kit for Christmas, I can come here and scroll down easily... look under fuel/air and see what companies are offering them. This would be extremely helpful.

Livernois Motorsports: "What products are you interested in? We have our cylinder head design complete and are very close on the camshafts. They will definitely be available by Jan. 05 if not sooner. We just need to get a car in here to test on so we can get some dyno results.

Thank you for your interest

Regards,

Rick LeBlanc"

Ford Racing: "Unfortunately, we at this office are uncertain as to when we can expect to see the 05 Mustang parts catalog. Rest assured, however, once the catalog becomes available it will be posted on www.fordracingparts.com for online viewing. Please note, you will need the Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer plug-in to view these files.

Hope this helps!

Whipple: "Brandon, our 05 Stang kit should be relesed in early Feb. of 05'. The system will produce nearly 450hp and 500lbs of torque, very large increase vs. stock. The system should run approx. $5000 and should be able to be installed in one day.

Thanks,
Dustin

Wow, that's pretty steep for the Borla.

I doubt the axle back will be much cheaper....maybe $100-$200 US.

They will price the axle-back close to the cat-back so you'll tend to buy the catback. For me, if the price is close enough, I might go catback just because I think the sound will change a bit by eliminating some of the bends.

But $800+ for the catback is pretty expensive. Ouch.

Their MSRP(retail) price is a 20%-30% markup over Jobber pricing... Jobber price is what bigger distributors will sell it for considering that cost is -30% off Jobber.

So actual pricing at large distributors will be closer to $560?

Roughly... MAP(Minimum Advertised Pricing) set by Borla can cause some retailers to show a slightly higher price -although most would then offer instantant rebates or free S&H -(Dimensional weight can effect S&H cost; ex: Actual weight might be 25lbs. vs. DIM weight due to box size could put it in a 60lbs. class)

I'll See what I can get it for Monday, see if there is a MAP $
