Fun driving our new Mustang!

Thanks everyone for your enthusiastic posts.
Another wonderful dividend you receive when you get your Mustang is that you start enjoying places that you otherwise would not have travelled to.
My wife and I took a drive up to see the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay in Redding, California. What a great day! It was warm enough to try out our Mustang's air conditioning. Having a black convertible top may have helped to warm us up.
Our Mustang seats were very comfortable for the trip. What a great ride. One little problem though ... it's difficult to keep the speed down. It was really easy to get it up to 80 mph without thinking about it. I had to make myself back off on the throttle a couple of times.
Someday when you drive your Mustang to Northern California, I think you will enjoy the Redding and Mt. Shasta areas.
Here are some URLs with pictures of the Sundial Bridge and one for Mt. Shasta.

Glad you're enjoying the mustang Nice car btw. I just drove my car last weekend to Lake Tahoe which was a good drive. I should of adjusted my seat though because my lower back was soar. 3 1/2 hour drive with out stopping gets kinda tiring, especially since it was a one day trip .

Yes, Lake Tahoe is a great ride. Reading your post makes me want to head up that way again. I'm looking forward to driving our Mustang on some curvy mountain roads to see how she handles.
I'm going to try to avoid driving on snowy roads with our Mustang though. I'm guessing you didn't have any problems with snow on the roads with the unusually dry weather we've been having.
My wife and I both have cranky backs too. So now on long drives we pull over if only for a couple of minutes to stretch. Then we adjust the seats to a different postion. Doing this has helped our backs feel much better. I don't worry about losing time; I'm not in a hurry just because I'm driving fast.

Yeah, Im gonna have to spend my time this weekend trying to adjust it. What I hate the most of the seat is the lumbar and the Foward head rest. But I'm sure with some proper adjusting I will be fine. Have just under 15,000 miles on it and havently really played around with it too much.

Yeah, Tahoe was a great drive, But since it was a one day trip we left SF at 6:30 am and arrived around 9:30 am. Did some saucering and tubbing and came back around 4:30 arrived around 8:00 pm that same day. I was beat. Luckly I didnt have any trouble with snow in the road, It was unussually dry. Great part was when little kids standing around there parents tahoe with there mouth wide open starring at my car as I pass them by. Girlfriend was asking why are they starring at us, HAHA. Was great man. What part of Northern California are you from BTW?
One route we like to take to Lake Tahoe takes us through or near Oroville, Grass Valley, Nevada City, Truckee, then south to Tahoe City. Kind of a nice drive. If we're going to South Lake Tahoe with more hotels and casinos we'll drive southeast until we hit US-50 and follow it until we turn off for Stateline.
My wife and I like to get down to San Francisco every once in a while. We like to stay in Tiburon and then take a ferry over to Fisherman's wharf. We've enjoyed some great walks thru the City.
Saw the Rolling Stones where the Giants play ball at AT&T Park in November of 2005. What a great night that was! Warm, full moon over the bay, the Stones were great ... what a high.
