FRPP Mustang GT 14" Brake Upgrade Kit
FRPP Mustang GT 14" Brake Upgrade Kit
Has anybody here purchased this kit? If so what wheels do you have. I have 18x9 wheel that are not the exact Ford GT wheels like the Project Source Horse has but from a different company ctr wheels. I emailed and asked FRPP about if my wheels will work with this kit. The answer I got said they (Ford) has only tested the brakes with Shelby wheels, but theoretically should work with an 18" wheel. Please help me.
Thanks
Eric

i'm assuming that's the Brembo 4 piston calipers and 14" vented rotors straight from the GT500.
i bought them OEM as Ford spare parts, rather than a FRPP kit
i have the SVT GT500 18x9.5" rims to match
you will need spacers for these and ANY brembo calipers to clear the stock 18" rims (64E and 64W)

I have seen gt500 brembos behind the genuine FRPP ford GT wheels. I am not 100% certain about the CT-R ones through.
WIth factory 18" bullitts you need a 1" spacer. With fanblades, probably 0.5-.75" will do it.
You need at least one inch from your stock caliper to the back of the wheel spoke now, before the brembos are mounted, if you want them to clear.
