Freezing weather question

I remember it being discussed in the past, but I have forgotten: what method do Mustang owners use to insure that the windows will not freeze in the up position, not allowing us to get into the car. Winter is coming and I remember someone stated something about taking a cloth saturated with silicone spray or something, along the top of the window or along the rubber seal on the door frame. What have others tried? These sealed windows are great, but concerned about what to do with a bit of freezing drizzle/rain.

i don't remember any specific discussions, but if you lightly coat the door seals with silicone, that should do the trick

I use a rubber treatment on the molding. Wet the cloth, and rub inside the molding and then treat the outside of the molding. It will keep it soft and pliable, as well as preventing the glass from freezing to it. You can use any brand, available at auto stores, Wal-Mart, etc. I reapply the treatment once a week in very cold weather.

Been through three winters in Chicagoland, daily drive 365 with no garage. Had the windows stick once from a freezing rain storm. Gallon of hot water opened the driver's side no problem. They don't stick in the winter under normal conditions.

EDIT: regularly treating the rubber moldings as others have suggested is a great idea to keep the stock mouldings around as long as possible. If they dry out, age will kill them.
