FR500 Wheels

I am thinking about these wheels for my car.
http://mustangracing.mrt-direct.com/fr500wheels.php
I like the ones in the middle of the picture. They are silver, not crhome. Basically the same color as the 2007 17 bullet style. Has any one dealt with MRT before? Are these wheels any good? I guess what I mean by any good is are they at least the same quality as the stock rims I have. If anyone has a picture of a Torch Red mustang with FR500 wheels I would like to see it. I seem to have traction problems, and I thought maybe wider tires might help out a little. I am thinking about the 18X9 wheels.

So far only mods are Roush exhaust and CAI. Roush pulleys are on the way. Scrounging up for a tune also.

Looks like those are 2004 wheels. The link to the 05 page only shows Black, Chrome and Anthracite for the late models. I guess you could use adapters though.

MRT is a good company, they will help you out with every step and are very understanding to your problems. BTW those rims are sweet, and you should have clearance for a brake upgrade, and the price is right. As far a strength they are required to have a strength of atleast stock. Yes wider tire will help with traction if you buy good enough tires, the pirelli's are great for stock, also try upgrading suspension, this will help with wheel hop.

Ran the FR500 Style Wheels with 255 ZR Rubber on the Roush in 18 x 9 all the way around for daily driving;- and it took care of the hop and scratching tires in 1st and 2nd.

Question

Here is a amazing fact I have now checked with 4 different website/company sites for those wheels not in black but in chrome. None of those site have the wheels in stock. Those are the wheels I want for my 05GT but I can get them. I guess and somebody here can tell me, but couldn't I get the wheels from the FRPP catalog that are for the 94-04 Mustang and get adaptor plates for the wheels and they work fine?

From: That town you drive through to get to Myrtle Beach
I love the last one, it would look great on a Sonic Blue Stang.

The lug patterns are the same but i am not sure on the adaption required. FR500 Style wheels on the Roush came from American Muscle and their distribution house is in my Neighbourhood. The Ford Dealer then installed them for me.

I went with the black Ford racing FR500's for my '05 GT. But I went with more black accents on the car as you can tell. Here's a few pics:

Before the black paint on hood and c-stripes:

I really like the F500 wheels. Probably chrome or silver for me, as I don't care for black or anthracite (isn't this a dark grey). Just gotta decide on the size. I originally wanted 18x8 front and 18x9 rear.

Don't mean to pull this from the grave, but I don't want to start a new thread. Did anyone find the FR500 wheels in stock yet, anywhere? I have been on a waiting list for over a month and a half, and still nothing. Did the boat these wheels came on sink??
