2005-2009 Mustang Information on The S197 {Gen1}

found a cover under the hood.What is it, any ideas?

found a cover under the hood.What is it, any ideas?

I was cleaning under the hood and found this cover down in the recessed areaof one of the spartplugs anyone have any clue what it might go on? I looked for 20 minutes and have no idea.

Yea, its the cover for the fuel rail, someone dropped it or knocked it off at the factory and didn't pick it up. John

Funny, I found one of those (gray) in my hood too. Now I have to go check out the fuel rail. Thanks for asking this.

I found a gray one in a car I test drove. Looks more like a fuel injector cover to me.

just look at where the flexible hose attaches to the fuel rail, thats where it came from, its only for before the hose is attached, from when the engine was shipped to the factory. You can throw it away, it won't fit anywhere, unless you want to disconnect the fuel line!!!!

Just throw it out! GEEZ...if you read the thread today about gas spraying the engine compartment, you'll just throw it out. Don't try to fix things you aren't qualified to fix.

it's in the junk draw in my tool box.......... call me crazy, but I'm keeping it lol I'll put it back where I found it if I ever decide to sell.............. and give someone else a headache trying to figure out what it fell off of LOL

Hey I had one of those sitting on my engine too. Figured it was a cover for a fuel injector.
