Did they hold the car for you??? If not, it may not be there when you go back or call.... Set your alarm for the crack of dawn, and be there in the AM with a nice hot cup of coffee and your checkbook.

If you really wanted a stick, don't jump the gun and get the auto. Been there, done that. Was never happy with it once the newness wore off. :bang:

Isn't it snowing right now in NY? You wouldn't want to drive it around right now anyway, would you? By the time the snow melts, they will have the IUP problems sorted out and you will get your car. I know it is tempting but waiting a little longer for exactly what you want might make you happier in the long run.

Good luck with your decision. I know it's hard. I have been fighting the urge as well, trying to hold off for a Mach 1, hopefully next year.

I have searched every dealers inventory within a 4 hour radius of me. I have found some GT's that were VERY close to what I want, but not exactly. If I could have found exactly what I want, I'd go get it now, snow or no snow. Since I can't, I'm going to wait for my order and see how this IUP thing shakes out.

Ron I love the auto in the GT. I have owned two other GTs in the past, both 5 speeds. This 5 speed auto is a blast to drive, granted I have only had it for a few days, but man she is quick and shifts oh so smooth both up and down. Have not been really hard on the car. I have taken it through a few paces as to get it broken in, you know letting the engine run through its RPM bands no red line stuff though. It just is so smooth and the engine and exaust notes are music to both my wife and my ears. We love it
But like I have said before on here we all have our opinions and that is what is so cool about The Mustang Source.

Ron....I can voutch that this automatic is sweet. I will never doubt my decision to go with the auto in my everyday driver. A manual would be fun for me about 1 week outta the year.....and the rest would be a PITA. If you truly want the one in stock....just don't snooze on it and let someone else beat you to it. Good Luck to you whichever way you go....

Love drivin' the stick... every time I get in it. Short throw is sweet.
...when I'm not using the '92 as a work commuter.
Transmission is not something you should settle on.

That dealer is full of it. Either he accepts the X-Plan or he doesn't. If he does accept it, Ford sets the X-Plan price he can sell that vehicle at. I believe it's 4% over A plan, plus $150.00.

Ron....I don't know whether or not this price markup has always been in place, but since the news regarding no IUP, alot of dealers have been jacking the one's they have with the IUP Sky High. I'm surprised those NY idiots don't realize that it's Winter time......maybe they don't want to sell cars too bad.
