As of February 28th, your vehicle has been released from the foreign assembly plant.

Just had to share the news since I was so bummed about losing $500 because of the AQHA thing.

Two observations. I've been calling several times a day for the past two days since I knew it was being built Friday or Monday and not once did it say she was produced. Also anyone notice she's no longer a unit, but a real, live vehicle? That's exactly what the message said.
Sorry, no 'nanners tonight. $500 is a lot of money to me.
BTW, 16 weeks just to get built.

PS: AQHA SUX! :notnice:

I called FoMoCo "Customer Service" (), and they said that my car was in production last Friday, but the VOPC still says "as of Feb 28, it is scheduled to be built week of Feb 28." I hope they didn't skip too many steps .

As for AQHA, I need to find out who's to blame first, then whoever it is stinks!
(also Stangnut, please see my last post in your AQHA thread, thanks)

Umm, not trying to flame & I can understand why your upset. But I see that you ordered in Nov? Why did you wait till March to sign up for AQHA? I know that it could have been taken away @ any time but to risk what $50? to gain $500 would have seemed worth it. I'm willing to bet that they had to change it because 2 many people were ordering cars (not just Stangs) & realized that it normally takes @ least 30 days to get them so they sign up to get the extra cash. I guess I can't fault AQHA for trying to not get used.

Actually I signed up in January because with the constant threat of Ford not renewing the offer this year, I figured why risk the $35. I don't think anyone would have ever guessed they'd lengthen the waiting period. Hindsight's 20/20.

I called my dealer tuesday and he said it should be here the week of the 14th. But I just called, and it still says "as of Feb 25 your unit is scheduled to be built week of Feb 21." What's up with that??

Just an observation on the production numbers. I found this interesting but you may not agree! :P

My car was completed on 23 Feb as verified by the Oasis report. It is 73076. Jason, you were very likely completed on Monday the 28th and are number 73183. That is only a difference of 107 cars.

Of course no way of telling when they were built during those days and that would make a difference but it looks like only about 107 cars built in a total of 4 calendar days or 2-3 business days if they don't work weekends. So doesn't that mean best case is about 50 cars a day and worst case about 25? That surprises me, thought it would be more.

Hey, I said it might not be interesting! ^_^

I'm number 73183, John, not Jason, and it was built according to Oasis on 3/1. So, it doesn't look like they build them in sequential order. Does anyone know for sure? If so, then it's even less than you thought. On second thought, maybe you're right... That would explain why it's taking so freakin' long to get here! :bang:

John, sorry for the name mix up. Wow, that does sound worse. They don't follow each other in exact order as one could be pulled for one reason or another but I think they are fairly close. Anyone know more about how this works?

Sorry to spoil everything, but I'm 173361. She was built either 2/28 or 3/1. Not sure. OCD, we both have manuals with IUP & spoiler delete. Maybe that means something. FarmerJohn, what did you order?

OCD, see if you can get your rail car # from your dealer. I was told it should be on the daily status report.

No, they are not built in VIN sequential order; no it's not that close; and they build several hundred cars per day.
