Ford Recalling 3.6M vehicles

anyone know if the S197 is involved? Didn't see it listed (in attached link), but article references "1992-2007" vehicles. Cruise Control switches causing fires

Were not on that list. Did you happen to see the list? Its filled with the have-nots of the model lines. Cars that no longer are made. '93-'98 Mark VIII, '94 Bronco, '94 Mercury Capri, '00-'01 Explorer Sport, Taurus SHO from 93-95. Plus '92-'97 Town Cars. Most of these cars are gone to wholesale cause they're so old. Nothing to get too worked up about (though I bet it will be MAJOR news on the local evening news tonight.

agree... I just saw the reference to vehicles up to 2007, and didn't see any late models on the abbreviated list.

Maybe true but some of us also own vehicles on that list... Guess I'd better talk to the SO and get her to take our Sport Trac in for service.
