Ford P Springs? 1 Inch Lower? Any Pics

Does anyone have any pics of Ford P springs? Or any springs that will lower the car no more than an inch?

I want to lower my car, but don't want to sacrifice much drivability and comfort.

Thanks,

Just had mine done over the weekend. I ended up with about 3/4 of an inch drop.

Drivability and comfort has hardly changed. I think the car rides just a good as before with a very slight increase in stiffness but nothing that can't be lived with daily.

Here are some pics.

Nice! Looks good. It looks like the springs evened the car out a lot too, does it still have a slight rake in person?

Yeah, it is very slight though.

These are the measurements I took before and after the springs taken at the center of the wheels at the lip of the fender.

I was at 28 3/4" front and 29 3/16" in the rear. Now as she sits the front is at 28" and the rear is at 28 5/16". I assume over the next few weeks the springs will settle a little more and I may see another 1/8" or so.

Thanks for the feedback, one last question. Did you need an adjustable panhard bar?

Nope, at least not on my car. Yours may be different and you will want to have an alignment done by a quality suspension shop. I would imagine you won't need one either, 3/4" is not all that much.

I purchased mine at BFR.com. They seemed to have the best price and had them in stock. They are not nearly as popular as the "k" springs that offer a 1.5" drop. I simply went with these to keep the car as drivable and livable as possible. The roads in the north east aren't all that great. I also upgraded to the GT500 upper strut mounts at the same time and I got those from Moss Muscle, again they were in stock and a good price.

thanks, I am in Ohio and drive up to detroit alot so I know about bad roads, main reason why I got 17 in rims on my car, for a bit of a softer ride. but it looks so much better lowered a little like that, I mean just a lot better. I have debated this for a while, but I think I am going to get these
Thanks

I love mine, it got rid of the 4x4 look and I have no issues going over bumps or steep driveways and the handling is a little tighter with no sacrifice in ride quality.

Finally ordered a set with a GC I got for Xmas. CJponyparts has them one sale for $181 shipped!

Already have the GT500 Upper Strut mounts on my work bench.

I'll put up pics shortly.

Yup, I've installed everything on my car, so far. Those springs took less then 2.5 hrs, but we had a lift, air tools, and a spring compressor.

*Only things I've out sourced were the tune(s) and mounting the slicks on the wheels.

Just metric sockets, metric wrenches, Trq wrench that can go to atleast 150ft/lbs (cannot recall the exact specs though), and a breaker bar if you don't have a decent impact gun.

I think Tacobill had a write up on installing lowering springs that you can use as a reference before / during the install. I think he even did his in the driveway on jackstands.
