 Is that a chop? I happen to know that there is an exact Torch Red photo in the gallery. I have done chops with it many times and I know it when I see it.

Just a question but on real race cars, like the old GTO, Shelby Cobras, and the Ford GT, aren't they painted? Vinly seems, well a bit on the cheap side. Are the stripes on the Ford GT painted or vinly? Also, will the add stripes for the bumper as well?

I think they are saying as opposed to an eleanor kit where they go all the way down the bumper?
Surely by "eleanor kit" you mean vintage Shelby that did it 35 years earlier, correct?

They just aren't going to look right if they don't go all the way down the front and rear bumpers.

on some they are, usually after the first year or so they ended up being decals when MFG's realized how silly the costs were to do them. You could stripe an entire 05 with vinyl easilly.

Where'd you get that picture from Brad? I can't find it on Ford media anywhere.

[edit]Nevermind, I found it now.[/edit]

Odd how they only have it one color ..

Yeah, that is exactly what I meant. I don't like them as much because they stop. If the went all the way down, now that's a different story!!! Why can't they do them like the titanium silver one in motortrend and the car shows?

I love posting my baby when the topic is just right:

The reason Ford dealers will not DARE put full length stripes like mine on is it takes LOTS of time, like 4-5 hours total.

Dealer hood and roof stripes take half an hour and as you can see, they're just plain cheesy when compared to full stripes which is what should dealers should have as the mandatory style.

Does anyone have, or can you tell me where to get the real spec on the stripes. Width, spacing, etc? Is there a spec? I am going to have my body man paint them on. The stripes on that picture look absolutley horrid.

I won't be getting them. They don't look like the stripes on the autoshow titanium car. They are skinnier and don't go down the bumper.

I'd love to see you right I really think what you have said about the SEs would help boost sales.

Hmm... it IS just a chop, but if they look like that, I'd think they'd look more fitting on a V6. They're just not aggressive enough on the GT in that pic.
