Amazing. I have read the story on CNN Money, Automotive News.com, MSNBC online, and now marketwatch.com. Only one thing "FORD HAS NOT GIVEN US ONE OUNCE OF INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM." All I know are bits and pieces so the customers i talk to today will have to wait until tomorrow to find out hoiw much they have to pay for a vehicle. H**L of a way to do business. By the time the word gets out to consumers the month will be 25-30% over.
We just got the word. A-plan on almost all '05's [no Mustang, GT, Hybrid as well as F/E 450 and above]. Thru 8/1. Most rebates did not change or only slightly changed. If this doesn't blow out some metal, nothing will. We have a GOOD supply of F-series trucks as well as a bunch of F250/350 commercial trucks; never been so cheap!
It will be interesting to see if any of the companies keep this going after they clear out their inventories, etc for the Fall.
IF what I read in another thread is true, it said the cost for these programs were a wash compared to rebates. If this is true, they may be sticking around

I wish they would raise the price of the mustang. I am glad they aren't including it. Keep the mustang scarce and hard to find.

<-Let's give warm round of applause for all those who paid MSRP and more!
It's only THEIR money.

Raise the price so they become more scarce? Very selfish. :notnice: The Mustang's motto is practically "an affordable sports car for the average American." The current tag for a Mustang GT puts it out of reach for many Americans, raising the price would be an insult to the purpose of the Mustang.
The fact that the Mustang is not included is a good thing for owners too...it keeps the car from depreciating. I understand the frustration, but around here, they still have markups on them, so I doubt most dealers would want to do it anyway.

Bad news is,as expected, Mustang WILL NOT be included in discount program. :bang:

I'd be P Oed if it was and so would 150,000 other people who purchased one.
On a side note about the rest of their vehicles, if there are no other rebates as was said about GM, what is the big deal??? Besides no haggle.

I agree, hard to purchase any new vehicle on part time jobs. Maybe the Third World Nations will buy a few to help us out. Yeah sure. Someday people have to realize cheap products equal lower wages that cannot purchase big ticket items and that will be the down fall of this Nation.
That is why Ford can only sell 190,000 instead of the 600,000 40 years ago and there were 70,000,000 less people in the U.S.
"Buy Made In USA" as much as you can. It's your future.
Just support the point.
