People in California wanna drive big ol' gas guzzling V8s? I thought Prious' were the choice over there.

Hey now, there's a few of us politically incorrect, carb-eating, V-8-appreciating, gun-toting, non-lite-beer-drinking, know-how-to-change-our-own-oil degenerates still left over here. [/b][/quote]
Yup there is and you will find most of us at California Speedway or at Irwindale racing our cars!!!

I will be there too....
Probably the most inappropriately dressed for the event, as I have to get back to work after that.
Any idea how long its gonna take for me to get through, I am in the 9:30 slot. Just want to make sure I can get back to work that day.
BTW: Thanks for the info Amy, woudn't have signed up..if it wasn't for you
Can't wait to :drive: a stick GT
After you fill out the paper work... make a run to where the 05 is being staged and wait. The wait depends on how many people are there at the time you are. But you signed up early, so you should be ok. The part of the track we rode on was all done within a minute and a half.. I think I waited maybe 30 mins to drive it. I waited for them to bring me the auto GT Second time I went (I cheated SHUSH) I was in line for over an hour and a half to drive a GT manual.

You should be safe to head back to work.

The auto line is much much shorter. Both are fun to drive.

I second the suggestion for someone to T/D a Mach 1 and then drive a 5-speed 05 GT.

Anyone who can do this is great.

There is a Used 03 Mach at a local dealer near me! If it is still there come thursday morning I will try to stop by for a test drive, then it's off to the Innovation Drive (1:30 pm time slot) for the 05 test drive. I will really try to pull it off, cross your fingers!

Oh man, that'll be a great comparison.

If you can pull it off, just try to concentrate on the comparison between the two (ie. acceleration) without worrying about too much else. We'd love to hear the first Mach 1 vs. 05 comparo.

Also, try to launch the Mach 1 during the T/D and then launch the 05 from the same rpm (I know its a lot to ask but its worth a try).

Good luck pulling this off!
