This is from yesterday's Daily Briefing in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Ford to increase ad spending
Ford Motor Co. plans to increase spending on advertising for Ford-brand cars and trucks by 50 percent to about $150 million during the fourth quarter to promote four new models. The spending will rise from about $100 million a year earlier, said Steve Lyons, president of the company's Ford division. ''It's a huge, huge expenditure,'' he said, without giving an exact figure. The company is trying to reverse a four-year slide in U.S. market share. Starting this month, the division is introducing the new Five Hundred sedan and Freestyle sport utility vehicle, as well as the redesigned Mustang sports car and Super-Duty pickup truck.

If anybody saw the Colts vs Patriots game Thursday night, they would have seen several of the Super-Duty commercials... I have no idea if they were 'new', but I hadnt seen them yet... :P
For once I am kinda looking forward to 'yet another darn car commercial' during a football game. Well, I will be when they start airing ones about the mustang, anyway. :P

I want to hear kevin breathe a sigh of relief.
Ford definitely had not had a "breakthrough" ad capaign in a long time.
They should have been showing commercials for "the one" (the Ford GT ad) all year, instead of just the superbowl

I think that the commericals should be during sunday games, because more people will see them. On Fox they show the games in your area, all over the country, it would be like Ford says"more bang for the buck"!!!!!
