Question ford gt rims

I was wondering where you guys are getting the GT40 rims. It seems they are like $700 a piece from Ford, but I have found some places that sell them for $300. I am a little weary considering they are $400 cheaper than from Ford lol.

Also, I know they come in the 19x11's and 18x9's... I assume people use the 18x9's all the way around?

Last, how much do those suckers weigh? I know that they are made by BBS, so I assume they are between 17-22lbs

thanks guys

Yeah, I've been looking at the GT500 stile rims, and I wonder the samething... Or worse, like maybe they are made in China from compressed tin foil or something.

The Ford GT-style rims that cost more than half the price of the real things are either CT-R wheels, or another brand. There is NO WAY real BBS Ford GT wheels can be bought for $300. I'd be VERY leery about them if the seller says they are the real things.

Hey there,

The GT (not GT40) wheels are a lot more than $700 each (unless you can find someone to get you a deal on them). From Ford Racing the fronts are $940 each (18 X 9's) and the rears are $999 each (19 X 11.5's).

Be careful buying something - unless you are okay with it being a knock-off.

This was specifically the page I was looking at:
http://shop.wheelsrims.net/ford-gt-inventory.html

It seems legit, but I am not too sure. It was the first or second page that came up in google....

I think they have the prices flipped on the 2 GT styles they have on that site. I remember the 6 spoke ones being much cheaper

Hey there,

Yea, the 6 spoke wheels should be a fair amount less expensive. The 10 spokes were an upgrade/option on the car. I would still wonder if they arent knock-offs at that price. The original 10 Spokes are manufactured by BBS. Dont think (although I could easily be wrong) you will find a true BBS wheel at those prices.

Can you ask them for a serial number and check it with your local ford parts dept?
