Ford flip key?

I was looking at a replacement key for my 2005 Mustang and found this key at ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-20...Q5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00...Q5fAccessories I really want one. Does anyone knows if it work on 2005 Mustang? Are they good enough? I ask because someone wrote in a post that the new Taurus keys doesn't work on the 2005. I did send them some questions, so I'm waiting for their answer. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks

I've also seen other people post it will work on other forums...I've had the fusion key for sometime now and haven't had any issues with that either.

I'm with Antrax on this one. I see where it says 06-09.. why do us 05ers get the shaft? lol. I'll follow this to see what the result is, I'd love to get a flip key.

I hope that the first one you listed works on the 2006 as advertised, since mine just arrived in today's mail!

I have both this one, and the one listed in the first post. They work with a 2007 perfectly.

I'm out of luck. I received answer from the seller telling me that it's only compatible with 2006 and up Mustang. What a shame. Why can I have a cool key too? If any 2005 owner that have a cool key, please, please let me know. Thanks

Do I have to go to the dealer for programing, or can it be done in the driveway? I know on the older cars it could be done in the driveway.

No dealer as long as you have the 2 keys/key fobs that came with your car... How to program them is in the owners manual! Just need to go get the key cut (either at the dealership or a locksmith) and then program the key and the fob... Whole thing took me less than 5 minutes...

They aren't super huge... About the same width/depth as the original key fob, but a bit longer...

Watch out for the eBay sellers for the all in ones. A lot of them are refurbs with new blanks and break easily from the pressure when starting the car...

This was mine.

Why this keys only work on 2006 an up? Is the security system different?

I found this one. Apparently it works on the 2005. It doesn't look as nice as the other ones but maybe I will settle for this one. I asked the seller if it work so we'll see. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...=p4506.c0.m245
