Try eloan.com, there are several companies that will give you an answer within an hour. The interest rates are also a lot lower than Ford Credit.
I actually applied on a Sunday via the internet and they called me within an hour.

Your right, but even with not so hot credit, it still may be cheaper than Ford credit. I believe the dealer gets a share if you go through them.

I would suggest e-loan. This is the route I took. I normally don't like to deal with internet based companies, but a good friend of mine financed 2 cars via e-loan and so I tried it and good a better rate than Ford was able to give me. One thing to be aware of is that e-loan will sell your loan to another lender right away. However, this is not an issue (do you care who you send money to?). My 5 cents.

I agree, there are multiple loaners who are looking at your request from eloan, some of them are a couple percentage points lower than Ford Credit.
I submitted a request from them on a Sunday, they called me within an hour.

if you have time before you need the $$, try a credit union or a palce liek that, they usually give decent rates. Then you can see if the dealership will beat that rate.
