Is it just me or is Fords lack of enthusiasm about today disconcerting to anyone else. This is a huge milestone in the history of Mustang if not the automobile and I cant help but feel down. Anticlimatic is the word I am thinking of. Anyone else have the same opinion?
well considering job 1 was pushed back to late september early oct. about 2 weeks ago. i dont know what your dealerships are telling you but today is not job 1 [/b][/quote]

Sometimes not a lot of information out to the general public can be a good thing. I am sure FORD wants to make sure they are on track with everything before they go full out with advertising. Besides, I'd prefer it if I received my mustang and was able to drive around for a few weeks having the majority of people wonder what kind of car I was driving.

I really don't care if they fail to advertise or don't make a big hoopla. Mine is on order and all I care about is when is my delivery day. :drive:

I didn't know Ford promised a big event with pictures and such. I'm sure they didn't mean for the engines to have problems. People sometimes expect too much. I'm sure there will be pictures, I'm sure the engines will get fixed, and I'm sure Ford will do a good job, on their timeline.

Now, now, remember. The engines ALLEGEDLY have problems according to the ALLEGED Ford News Website blueovalnews.com. The owner has a beef with Ford and we have to hear smear campaigns because of it.
Ford didn't make a lot of noise because they are waiting for the big launch celebration on the 27th. That's when we will see the first Stangs and that's when we will get our first ads. You don't want to start advertising too early when you may not have enough stangs at the beginning for everyone who wants one. Those first ones go to people like us who know about this stuff. B)

True, "Allegedly" is the word. Read the whole "lawsuit" link on BON. I'm sure Ford will make a splash when they are ready to do it right and in a BIG way!!!!

BON is often full of it. After nearly 1 million F-series with no problems whatsoever, all of a sudden there are "head problems??" whatever We have 05 F-series, Super Duty, and Expeditions now. Where is the stop-ship? its stupid. BON stinks anyway.

Kevin...Unless there is more to the story....I tend to agree. As a manufacturing shop I can't see how defective heads could get that far down the road and into assembly in this instance. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out
