Fixing a small chip in alloy wheel?
Any way to fix a small chip in the alloy wheel (on one of the spokes) other than taking it to a shop? I searched around online and couldn't find much of anything. The chip is only about the size of a pebble, but it's really annoying knowing that it's there everytime I look at the **** wheel. I just noticed it yesterday. No idea where it came from.
Get it repaired, I curb checked mine and had it repaired and it looked good as new when I got it back and it only cost me $40 so it's well worth it

are you talking just a paint chip, or chunk of aluminum broke out?
paint chips need fixed to prevent corrosion underneath- pick away loose edges, treat with some ospho if down to the bare metal, just dab on some touchup paint- if desired, after its dried wetsand flush with ultrafine paper, buff/wax... do at least get some touchup over it before corrosion gets under the powdercoat and starts blistering it up.
if metal damaged, theres a lot of repair shops that make them good as new. easiest option might be just get one wheel from newtakeoff.com, just you wont know condition till it shows up...
