First Speeding Ticket!
Well - Just thought I'd post this pic of my car from last week. I got my first speeding ticket in 10 plus years! Driving up the 101 from L.A. through Santa Barbara at around 8:30 at night. Cop hiding in the bushes stops me and tells me he clocked me at 82 mph! I had been driving over 300 miles that day for work and it was late at night and I sure learned my lesson. He told me in Santa Barbara anything over 80 mph doubles the fine so he'd write me up for 75.....thanks. I was cool and totally guilty. I told him I saw him hiding in the bushes and I tried to slow down. He then told me, "I bet that bad boy has cruise control." By golly it does, and I used it the whole ride back down to L.A. the next day. It's just too easy to speed in this machine. I am now used to using the CC when on the highway. I will be attending traffic school in the near future.

Sorry to hear about your brush with "the man." Sounds like he was cool about it, though.
Nice looking Stang. Love the Windveil Blue with the fanblades and spoiler delete. Very classy.

Sorry to hear about the ticket, at least they gave you a break. Not looking forward to my first ticket. LOL. I agree, it is hard to stay under the speed limit, gotta have a little fun.

The 101 sucks. I've been popped there before, and the cops are usually a-holes. Sounds like you got the exception to the rule!
Was this by Buellton by any chance? That is where I seem to get nailed the most.
At least you can have Pea Soup Andersen's to feel better...

I was ticketed for 18 over the limit less than a month ago. I went before the judge, admitted my responsibility, and let him know the first thing I did after the ticket was drive back through the area to see where I had missed the sign.
He reduced it to "Failure to obey a highway sign". It can often pay to accept responsibility and tell the truth.

Classy looking car, sucks about the ticket though. Might want to invest in a radar detector -- they're not fool proof, but they can help lower your odds of another ticket.

I went 15 years without a ticket and had one 1 week after I had my stripes painted. Sort of takes the fun out of things. Now I drive my truck faster than the Mustang for fear of another ticket.

Yeah, these cars of ours are faster than 85 - 90% of the cars on the road, and it's easy to not realize how fast you're going until it's too late ... or conversely to be tempted to run 'em hard now and again on an open stretch of highway.
And of course, I go and order a RED one! I might as well paint a sign on my forehead that says, "PULL ME OVER, I'M A FELON!"

I have to deal with it all the time when driving between VA and NC. I just set the cruise at 65 for the 80 minute cruise (thank goodness they just increased the limit from 55 to 60) and look at all the out-of-towners flying by me, because I usually see them later on stopped on the side of the road.

That sure is the truth. 2 tickets in a year for me since I had the car.
Was clean at least 6,7 years before that.
These werent for speeding outragous 40/49. And the other one I just dont remeber, think like 17 over.
Online traffic class to take within a few weeks. Beats going on my record thats for sure.
