First Real Failure
Well, I bought my 06 GT used almost 3 years and 50,000 miles ago. Had some alternator trouble 25 or 30K miles ago, but that was stuff that was known to be troublesome, so I don't really count it. Besides, that never made the car unreliable, just slightly annoying. And, then there was the TPS, which again, caused some trouble, but never left me without a working car.
Today, that all changed. Well, yesterday is when it started, when I was in Austin, 150 miles from home. Managed to get it back home though, but this morning, it was over. I was stranded, couldn't make it in to work. Spent some time troubleshooting and testing. Ended up replacing the starter.
75,000 miles on the clock. First time I've ever had a starter go bad on me. *shrug* $150 bucks ain't too bad for unforeseeable expenses in the amount of time I've had my car.
Still love it, though.
