question, I ordered the crimson (RED) seats, and then dealer called me said they are not making them in all red for 2007, but black with Red inserts. Has anyone else heard this? I'm puzzled, coz no where in the build specs it states that, (except for the GT/CS and that excludes Crimson).

Makemystang, looks like that's correct. I just looked through the order guide (took a copy with me when I ordered my '07) and there is no solid red seat option anymore. The new color interior options all start out with a mostly black interior, then add color accents in the seats and door panels, in parchment, dove, red, and chamois, or the all dark charcoal interior.

I'm still waiting to see an official picture of this interior, but for the moment I'm going with the full medium parchment interior. That's what my '05 had, and I liked it.

Since we're listing our order options, here are mine (still clean and unsched this week).

Thats what I really wanted, look at the pictures of the GT500, all these orders and I am having flash backs of last year
If you want I will trade you seats for the all crimson red one's I have

 

Thanks for the info, I too have the 2007MY order guide I printed from this site, but it was not exactly clear on the inserts, and the dealer did not know at the time and told me after a few days when someone told him at the dealershp.
When I ordered my '05 Performance White Vert, I had the all Red and it looked good with the Perf White.
Now that I have ordered the 2007 in RedFire these new seats (Charcoal / Red Inserts) would look, I think better with the RedFire exterior so there would not be too much Red. The issue is the Crimson red does not match either the Torch Red nor the RedFire, so being inserts would be decent.
Now for the wait. Most likely 12 to 16 weeks.

How do you find out that sort of info? I ordered mine 4-26-06. My dealer doesn't provide any information like this!

If you look at the sticky at the top of the 05 thread, I posted the order guides as soon as they came out and you can download it.

 

I have the order guide. What I meant was how do I find tracking info such as when the order was placed in the Ford bank, accepted, assigned a VIN etc...

 

Ed...anybody...can someone in the know put this question to rest on two tone seats in GT's to rest?? I have one on order and it is staring to drive me insane! I am forever hopeful for "inserts", but have my doubts. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

 

We have not gotten our color and trim book yet and I can not find out any info on what the seats look like.

Yeah, I saw that. Interesting, but the ONLY mention I can find in the order guide about two tone seats is in reference to the GT/CS. Description of 68B talks about front and rear seating surfaces in chamois, red, etc, and matching door panel inserts. Heck... I dunno. I think it is going to be like last year's ICAP. Ford has always saved two tone seats for SE's. But, I hope I am wrong.

 

Hey Tony, the production date for the 2007 models is set for June 5th. And on a side note, it seems like alot of the 07 orders that are being posted are all choosing Vista Blue, EXCELLENT!!

 

Are there any pics of that color? I have seen the orange.
