Sounds to me like they might have conducted a Dealer Trade for your car, particularly since you paid MSRP. Check the lower left hand corner of the window sticker and see if the Dealer you bought the car from is the same as the Dealer it was shipped to. Also, what is the mileage on the vehicle. No problem with buying a Dealer traded car, but it sounds more logical than what they told you.
I ordred my mustang gt on Jan.3 2005 and received a build date for Jan. 10 and the car came in on Jan. 20, I couldn't believe it. Now if the weather would just break, so far all I have is 17 miles on it.

Just took a picture this morning. I absolutely love this car....It's amazing. Looks beautiful, sounds awesome, drives great, it's an incredible machine. Can you tell I really like the car?
By the way, the dealer address does match on the window sticker and the car had 7.1 miles on it. Frankly I don't care where the car came from I'm just soooooo happy to have it!
Have a good weekend gents!

Very nice pic.
And about the way it handles I took mine out last night for a drive, had the cc on 85 when I come over this hill and there is a skunk in the middle of the road going from left to right. I give the wheel a sharp turn to the left the back to the right to miss it and the car stuck to the road like it was on fly paper. And yes I still have that new car smell.
