Up here where we got 8" of snow over the weekend, I guess we just don't need them yet. But I wish mine was one of the first. Like everyone is saying in the spring. Well that is only a couple of months away.

I saw a manufacturer's pre-production model last month down in Key West. It was a yellow V6. Looked pretty sharp over all. A bit more angular in the top shape than the current car. The top of the windshield header was yellow, which seemed a bit discordant, black would have been better. Only saw it parked with the top up, so can't comment on how it looks topless.

Here's an article I found this morning.....
Ford rolls out topless model of its new Mustang
DETROIT, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Hoping to build on the success of its all-new Mustang coupe, Ford Motor Co. <F.N> will begin selling a topless model of the iconic pony car this week.
Ford began shipping new Mustang convertibles on Monday to dealerships from its plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, spokesman Dave Reuter said.
Ford sought to strengthen its North American car lineup last year with the addition of three new cars and the redesigned Mustang.
"Mustang has been a runaway hit and the convertible will spark even more interest in the nameplate," said Joseph Barker, manager of North American sales analysis at CSM Worldwide, an industry tracking firm.
Ford, the second-largest U.S. automaker, which saw its U.S. sales fall 4.9 percent last year, had dubbed 2004 the "year of the car" and launched the large Five Hundred car, Freestyle wagon, Mercury Montego sedan and redesigned Mustang coupe.
While sales of other new cars have yet to meet targets, demand for the Mustang is outstripping supply, Reuter said.
He said Ford has sold more than 33,000 new Mustangs, with nearly 12,000 orders -- many for the convertible -- still waiting to be filled.
"With Mustang you can see the passion that went into the car," Barker said. "It's an intriguing design. They took a risk and the risk paid off for them."
Barker said Ford's other new cars fail to make an impression because of their conservative styling.
The Mustang convertible, with a 4-liter V-6 engine or a V-8, starts at around $24,500.
Ford, which conjured up late Hollywood action hero Steve McQueen to promote the new Mustang coupe, expects to sell 150,000 of the pony cars this year, including 45,000 convertibles.
Barker said he expects the automaker, which first launched the Mustang 40 years ago, to easily make the sales target.

a little tidbit for you to set this Volume issue to rest, the launch of the mustang some 40 years ago, resulted in a one year production total of 500,000 vehicles, so demand outstripping supply is getting old quickly, IMO
