Got our 1st '06 scheduled last night, a premium V-6 vert. It will be # 353 off the line. It was the 1st retail Mustang order I placed so the system worked as advertised [was an x-plan by the way]. Should have the est build date by next Wed. Congrats to one happy customer.

 

Oh rah! Mine has been serialized awaiting scheduling and eta! Whoo-hoo!

 

How do you know what number you were on the line??

 

Woot Woot - serialized also... I wonder how many they pulled for this first batch.

Ed.. does this mean my dealer should be able to get me my vin #? And can he too find out what number on the line I will be too? Sure would be fun to know that info.

Great news, I just called and mine was serialized too. I'll check back in a week but it sounds like my build date may be the first batch!

when did you guys order? my dealer hasnt given me a dora or voc yet. he says its all computerized and would see what he could do (i.e. you've bought your car, time to focus on people looking to buy a car). I ordered about 1 month ago

 

ok, so for those that just had 06s serialized, did you order an 06 or are you is your 05 beeing bumped? if so when did you place your 06 order?

Congrats guys! I see most of ya ordered around the same time I did. I shouldn't be too far behind, I hope. I checked the ERL and still C/U. Then again I only got my VOC. Might have to get back to the dealer and get the DORA just to be sure everything is ok. Should've done that to begin with :bang: but the dealer I ordered from is about 45mins away and I didn't think it would be a big deal. Lazy me....

based on Vin? I dont think mine was the seventy seventh thousand mustang made in four month of production (give or take). If I am following you right and ignore the sixth digit.
I was told that data was not collected.

 

I just ordered my 06 on 6/28. It was the first 06 order with my dealer. I got the voc the night I placed the order and got the dora the next day. Not bad to have it serialized less than a week after I place the order. I checked via the ERL.

 

The last 6 digits of a VIN are the production sequence numbers according to Ford. Normally the cars are produced in this sequence but due to commodities, etc a vehicle may be produced out of sequence. I am attaching a 2005 model year VIN decoder so everyone can check their VIN for all the good info.

 

Since other 06's are getting serialized, I thought I'd call the ERL and check the status of my order (ordered an 06 GT on 6/10/2005). I called the 1-800 numbrer and got a message that Ford was closed in observance of the holiday with no menu option to get to the ERL.

I guess with all of us calling to check on our orders, even the ERL needed the day off ...

 

If John called the ERL and she said it was serialized....and I did too, and got C/U....I guess I wasn't pulled
