finding out info on accident??

finding out info on accident??

a car im looking at has a accident reported on its carfax.

it seemed like a good price on a 09 till i saw this. does anyone know how i would go about finding out what the extent of the accident and/or damage?

or should i just take this is a red flag and pass?

BTW the carfax shows it was a coporate fleet vehicle so it coule have been a little ding and got reported for fleet insurance to cover it. i dont know. just thinking

I believe Texas requires a report be submitted if damage exceeds $1000. That is pretty easy to hit, as I know from impacting a coyote at 40mph (or was it the other way around?). The front bumper alone will do that damage without affecting anything else. Since nothing else seems to be amiss, I wouldn't worry, but you could call the 2 dealers listed on either side of that report and just ask them about it.

yeah your right. thats what im doing plus i decided yesterday go with my original plan of a non black interior car. i know they are harder to find but its what i want cause its brighter and cooler.
