FINALLY... YEARS of waiting are OVER!
I owned a 1985 Mustang GT 5.0 in high school. I LOVED it and i've been hooked on Mustangs ever since. I joined this site in December of 2004. Since the '05 Mustang came out, i've planned to get one so many times. Everytime something happened and my chance to have one fell through. EVERY TIME!
Since then, i've had a son, a divorce, a few deaths in the family, back surgery, just non-stop drama. BUT my love for the Mustang has never gone away and there just never seemed to be a right time to get one. Every opportunity I had fell apart... until now...
Today, I put that all behind me. Its been 5 1/2 years in the making, but today i brought home my new baby... well, its an Alloy Grey 2007 GT, so it's not NEW, but its new to me.
I've named her "Sweet Jane"... after a dear friend of mine who inspired me to follow my dreams and make them happen. This is not how this car will look forever... The plan is to add (in my own time, when ever it happens):
AM Chin spoiler
Sunroof
Flat black BOSS style stripes
Magnum 500 wheels (maybe, if they're ever in stock again)
Shaker hood system
Sequential Turn Signals
Tint Windows
But i'm going to enjoy every second of her... oh yeah!
The story may sound sappy, but my new girl most certainly does NOT. I am in love!

Gongrats- first on a end to the 'non-stop drama' (been there/done that) and second on gettting that mustang you were dreaming of(been there/done that too)

That's a sweet ride u got there ; ). I remember wen I picked up my 06 at the dealer, nothing will compare to that feeling of accomplishment....knowing that this beast ur driving is allll yours!

Congrats, car looks good! I know what it's like to wait, I've wanted a Mustang since before I was 5 (preferably blue). Through High school & college I really wanted one, but was responsible and drove parents car or my pickup trucks due to insurance and winter. So after saving a Mustang fund from age 14, I finally bought after graduating college.

Congrats on the purchase of "Sweet Jane", I remember getting "Allison"(my '05 Sonic Blue V6) and it was an awesome feeling to have the Mustang I'd saved almost 4 years to buy. Enjoy her & keep her all shined up & looking great! Get involved with a Mustang club in the area too, they'll get you involved in events & shows & help you show off your baby. Enjoy!!
