Just took delivery of my new car. I ordered it five weeks ago today.

Tungsten Gray (obviously) GT Premium, 5-speed, dark charcoal interior, interior upgrade package and premier trim package, comfort group, charcoal aluminum dash panel, spoiler delete, active anti-theft, 3.55 rear end, 18" polished aluminum wheels, side air bags. Come to think of it, there isn't much I DIDN'T order!

Mods soon to follow - it's one quick pony as it is, eh?

The help I've received on this forum has been fantastic. Thanks to all.

(And you film buffs may recognize that this is the spot where Clark Griswold took delivery of the Wagon Queen Family Truckster. It's now Star Ford in Glendale, CA.)

I must admit Tungsten was the only other color I was considering outside Redfire.

Great car. Almost like the one I odered, except that I didn't take the comfort group option and I oderded the 18" fanblades. Two days ago I received a phone call from the dealer letting me know that my Mustang was released from the plant and hopefully will be here by the end of the week/early next week. Tuesday Jan 20th will be exactly 5 weeks ago that the car was ordered.

 

Yup...big smile all the way into work this morning!

By the way, you have the Tungsten Gray? You didn't order the Metallic Pea, with the Rally Fun Pack?? (Truckster ref)

 

So I guess you saw me walking out in my bathrobe last night.

Sad to find out that the Metallic Pea is no longer available. But I did get the Rally Fun Pack. (That would be a V-8, with a 5-speed.)

Funny story. I was going to go with the stock wheels. My wife and I were at a dealer early on in the "looking" process and she said that the larger polished aluminum looked better. She was right - nice to break up all that gray.
