I'm usually in the 330-340 range, got into the 350's once.

367 on a tank. Trip from PA down to Bethany Beach in delware. Was averaging 23 mpg.

I was still breaking it in at that point. so i was driving between 55-65mph. That helps when you're not doing 75 and guzzling the gas. Didn't hit any traffic.

I'm just curious . . . . for those of you with the IUP/Message Center . . . . . can anyone with a GT beat that?
How can we believe you when you call yourself "The Lyin' King" ? .. lol

I had a weird thing with the message center last night. The current tankful was averaging about 15mpg (all city). The message center said I had used 13 gallons, so figuring 3 gallons was left, it was saying I had 45 miles to empty. But that's if the last three gallons were being consumed at 15 mpg...

I had to go on the highway 25 miles each way, but I know on the highway I get about 24 mpg, so the three gallons in the tank should have been plenty. The gas gauge was reading real close to empty, but I was trusting the message center that I had 3 gallons left.

So on the highway on the way back, with about 5 miles left to get home and the gas station (I have the fuel tank problem, and I found a station that sort of works, so that's the only one I go to), the Message Center is saying "2 miles to empty". But the gallons used is about at 14.5, so I was going by that.

Of course I did make it to the gas station after the Message Center said "0 miles to empty," and the fillup took 14 gallons. So apparently 2 gallons to spare. That last 50 miles on the highway boosted the tankful mpg from 15 to 16.0 mpg overall average.

No worries! Trust me .

It's my CB handle from rockcrawling in my Jeep . . . my wife and kid tagged me with it because I'm always telling them we'll make the next obstacle in front of us with "no problems". Of course, sometimes don't . . . . . so they call and give me the . . . liar . . liar . . lair bit.

On a trip to OK City I filled up and saw 370 to empty. That was right after going 398 miles on the previous tank! No kidding!

I have noticed that too, i am able to drive about 20-30 miles after it says 0 to empty, it does leave you with 2 gallons when it say's 0 miles to empty

you're brave! B)

seeing how you've tested it that far, why not go the rest of the way and see how far it can really go after it says "0 miles to empty" ?

Yeah, I have a 152 mile round trip to work . . . 80% open road and 20% stop-n-go freeway/city driving. I lose 2500' of altitude in the first 20 miles going to work and gain it back on the way home.

It's the first and last 20 miles that can do me in gas wise because it's twisty mountain road and TOO MUCH FUN !!!!!!!

I reset all my stuff (avg mpg, avg mph, trip, gal used), and I average almost 300 mpt, but that is dealing with SoCal traffic.

AVG MPG: 15 - 23 mpg. I sustained 99.9 mpg for about 4 minutes, and 40+ for about 30 minutes.

I use my "Gallons Used" feature to know how much I have to fill my tank, and know how much gass I have left. I always have to keep pressing the gass lever to fill up the last gallon

And to those of you with IUP...if you get down low enough your gas gadge will turn red, unless you are already running red as your selected gadge color, then it will stay red. Mine turns red about half way through the 10th mile left.

Just filled my GT up and got message "404 miles to empty". Last tank according to the computer was 27.0 MPG at 12.5 Gals. It took 11.97 Gals for 326 miles for 27.23 MPG. Pump shutoff at 11.4. Added the extra .57 gals

Will the guage turn red, even if you aren't running headlights? The manual says that white illumination is used during the day, so I was curious if you would even notice the gas gauge turning red during the day.
