There are members with the Black/Red combo and it does look sweet. Although, your reference to "dark red detailing" sounds interesting. The red they offered seemed a little too bright for the black imo. By the way Adam, what interior do you have? I have the red leather, color inserts etc. on my Torch Red (the really fast one) - but I do wish they would have put in dark charcoal carpet instead of black - it shows everything!

05stangster-

i definitely think the normal red on the black might be a bit too flashy or 'fast and the furious' for me.. but a dark red i think would just be hott. If I had me a black pony i would DEF do it.. i put some photoshops of a black/dark red togetehr an it looks goooood heh.

i got me the gray interior....not really sure what to do with it, but i dont mind the gray too much... nottoo many trim options on my interior tho since the car is silver lol...

Here we go again Silver is not the fastest, Torch Red is the fastest!
Everyone knows that Sonic blue is the fastest....since it has the word SONIC in the name

adrenalin, now come on - you know better - what color is the protype being advertised for the Shelby GT500? RED! Are they going to make sonic blues? No. But, I must admit, your SONIC blue is much faster than the silver ones Although, after looking at your sig line, I'm not sure which is faster - silver or sonic? Do the white racing stripes add weight and change the aeordynamics of the car? And you have the 1000 watt Skanker. Those extra subs really add the weight! Not to mention the added weight of the tinted windows ha ha. Uhhhhhh - I just finished reading your sig - I retract the slow references - looks like you are definately making yours fast! Sweeeeeeeeeeet :headbang:

if your new sneaks were track and field flats.. then you SHOULD run faster

did anyone buy their '05 with the basic soundt system and upgrade to the shaker 500 or 1000? if so, how much did it cost, and would you recommend it over a system purchased at bestbuy?

I would try eBay. I remember a Shaker 500 on their for sale but cant remember the cost. I think it was around $100.00

Let me just say that before my Stang was delivered to me I did not realise that the Shaker 500 held up to 6 CD's so my plan was to get a new system for it. At this point I dont plan on doing a thing. I love the shaker 500 and I also love the fact that it holds 6 CD's withought having to go in the trunk to insert my CD selection. Its sounds great and I also love the mp3 compatibility. If you can find one I woulg go with it. Do they even make a system that holds 6 CD's from the main unit like the Shaker?

Who, "they"? If you mean other car manufacturers, then yes. Front-loaded multiple CD players are quite common in modern cars.

We have the front load 6 CD players in both the 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe and 2003 Silverado truck.

Well I must not get out much. I have never seen a unit that took more than 1 CD without a CD changer in the trunk. Of course, its been over a year since I visited the auto stereo department at Best Buy or Circuit City. I mostly visit there compter department.

speaking of black...

does anyone here have a black 05 with red detailing? Im picturing it and wondering if it looks as hott in reality... like maybe even dark red detailing... i think that would look evil, but in a good way

i think if you did it right it could look real good.
I have a black GT and I'm going with "hott reality" PINK for the detailing!

So what....to all of this. I like the Redfire...don't care much for the torch Red (except on the 'vert). Does that make sense? Is it logical?
Probably not...but that's the way I see it. Enjoy your car....or do something about it...if you can afford it.

I just hate the fact that Ford's engineers didn't take into account that V6 owners might want to add a strut tower brace (can't - manifold is too high - or add a rear anti-sway-bar - can't no attachments on the axle (but the body mounts are there - go figure).

Why not add a internal trunk release? Why not offer a power pasenger seat (it was considered - check out the photos in the Mustang sales booklet). Why not put duals on the V6 (the LS V6 has duals and anti-sway bars).

I like my Mustang. I like Redfire. I too want more color options. Ford can improve, but does it have the corporate will to do so? I know I don't want my Mustang looking cheap and beat to heck with a lot of mods and end up looking like a ton of 90 decades Mustang I see on the road.

Give it time - its the brand new model of the car - the first year - more options will come as they sell adnd the next years roll out (I am a bit ticked that 06ers get multiple choices of 18 inch wheels to choose from but I will always havea 2005 Mustang.... trade off).

Ford like most American car manufacturers are hurting right now - they sadly can't come out of the gate hard with a myriad of options on the first years model....

My 65 has as much bondo and rust as your 2005....hey I'm just stating my opinion as a 2005 owner...it was a good car, but it certainly has not earned classic status...maybe someday it will...time will tell...
Ya know what?.......Your '65 didn't claim classic status in the first 6 months of it's life either.

People shouldn't get uptight over car colors, whether it's Sissy Pink, Feminine Light Blue, Violet Girly Blue, Kid With a Race Car Bed Yellow, Personality Free White, Middle Age Crazy Red, Dirt Brown, Old Fart Silver, or Black. They're all equally good in my book!
