I ordered my 05 Mustang GT, Satin Silver, Manual, IUP, etc in early July.

It was built 27 Sept and delivered to the dealer on 14 Oct.

The only problem is Ford wasn't due to deliver it until January because I am in Iraq. I am glad they were fast in building and delivering it to the dealer, I just cannot be there to pick it up. So all you people waiting on their for delivery, blame me, but I feel your pain just in reverse.

they'll have 15k miles on it when you get home, 200 dents and scratches, 50% tire tread, worn out seats(REAR TOO), and all that for new price........

The dealer has been pretty good about it. They said their policy is that a special order car does not get driven or used as a show car before the owner gets it. Unfortunately they do not have a wharehouse to store it so they are going to clean it, look it and put it in the show room. They agreed with me that no one will be allowed inside.

I am trying to arrange for someone to pick it up and put it in my garage at home. Hopefully the car will only be there 2 more weeks, but it has already been there over 2.

Deuce....

Keep your head down, and your team safe.

Come home and enjoy Freedom as few know it, and enjoy your Stang. Drive safe.

I am headed back for a second tour in November. I hope to have a few months with mine, and my family before I go.

Mac

Jeeze HUGLE. I know you're joking, but doesn't the guy have enough to worry about in Iraq without you adding to the anxiety over his car.

Thanks for all the support everyone.

I wish they had deliverd mine to someone who is waiting for theirs still. I have plenty of time before I will be able to drive it.

I got a message from my dealership and they said the car has 2.5 miles on it and it will stay like that until I pick it up. They have been great about the whole thing. Once the car gets picked up I will update everyone on the dealership, but as of now they get an A+ from me.

They are JC Lewis Ford in Savannah, GA

Best of luck. I bought my 85 GT right before I went to Libya and absolutely could not wait to get back and drive my baby. I'm sure yours is going to be just fine!

GOD BLESS you guys over there. In my opinion you should get that stang for half price for all of your sacrifices...I mean it!! At least the military lets you use the internet I would ask the dealership to lock the doors so the new-car-smell doesn't leave, and the customers do not ruin your interior by seating in it. Best of luck out there and thank you for taking part in the global battle in riding the world of those EVIL, Pathological pieces of camel crap. They behead people and don't think twice about it.

Again, thanks for all the support, it means a lot. The owner of the dealership Walter Lewis, has personnaly emailed me as well and said they are taking care of the car. They have all been great.

He sent me a picture of my new baby all cleaned up in the show room.

Deuce - that is a an awesome looking Stang. I'll be just down the road in Tampa when you get home and plan to make a road trip up to SC to visit a friend at Paris Island in the spring. Maybe you'll see me in my Redfire GT......

I replied to your message on the other topic about the $$. Keep your head on a swivel man, OUT.

It has to be torture seeing your stang at the dealership in the pic, but what a present to look forward too when you get home. As others have said, thanks for serving our great country!
