So, my wife has been frantically calling me at work all afternoon to tell me the great news, but wouldn't you know it, I'm stuck in meetings the whole time. Doh!

Finally get to talk to her and she says... "Guess who we just got a birth certificate for?" and of course me being the one to not get it says "You mean our horse..." (a real horse we just got, yeah a real pony) She's like "No, OUR newest BABY." In that *wink wink* tone of voice. Blam! Now it hits me.


Yea, I have my full VIN. So I guess it will be on the assembly line soon.

I still need to get home to actually read the printout. I'm so excited.

'07 Black, Pony Package, Charcoal IUP, Comfort Group, Safety Group, Traction... some other stuff. I'll post in an more official way when I get the order sheet.

Just spoke with my dealer and my Pony is scheduled for production on 07/17/2006. Yea!


He said it should ship out the week of the July 24th and get to the dealership by August 17th.

Whew! Gives me some more breathing room.

 

Just called Ford Customer Service. That phone menu is a bit long winded to get through. The service rep was very nice, he asked what color I got and even wished me a happy 4th of July.

On to the the good news... My car is bucked! Yea!!!


The completion and delivery dates are still the same. I asked about the rail delivery delays and he said it depends on which part of the country you live in. Count on up to a week, but no estimated rail delays for the Northwest where I live.

BTW, could someone PM me the # for the ERL?

Oh, I couldn't find any info on it in search, so what does "ERL" stand for?

 

ERL stands for Evil Robot Lady. If your car is "bucked", that means it is being produced now. Status should change to "produced" really soon. Congratulations!

 

Oh, that's just too funny!!! I thought it was an official Ford term. LOL!

I now know why the VOPC lady is called "Evil Robot Lady"!

It's like a horrible nightmare... "Please say your 17 digit VIN number" 1ZVHT80... "You said; 1ZWF30..." ARGHHHH!!! NOOO!

After go through that like three times, each time the number gets more and more garbled, the system gives up and dumps you over to a service rep.

It was kind of funny. Reminded me of a skit I saw on TV once.


I'll try it again after my blood pressure drops, haa haa.

 

Yeah, I've never had any luck using the VIN, I just stick to the Order Number route.

 

Same here, the order number worked much better for me. Hey Jay, you oughta be gettin' some good news next week, if you haven't already! Gotta love that Vista Blue!

I will be, mostly. The car's on a train headed out of Illinois today (left Decatur at 12pm). Bed news is that yesterday we figured out the dealership had screwed up my order, so now they're trying to figure out how to make it all better. They never ordered the Spoiler Delete, or the 64E (fanblade) rims. So it'll be showing up with the spoiler on it (which I personally can't stand) and the silver 17" bullitts. I didn't mind the bullits on the '05, but the new ones are lighter, and I really really wanted the fanblades. If they don't get some for me, I'll have to get them from E-bay myself. And if they try to screw me on anything, I'll be re-ordering from the cross-town competitor. I just don't want to wait another 8 weeks.

We'll see what they say on Monday. In the meantime, I have the train tracking phone number on speed dial.

 

The Stang is currently on a rail car headed my way! Should be at the dealer by the 3rd.

What part of the country are you located?

My car was built on July 20th also with an estimated delivery of Aug 7th. I haven't called the ERL today though, maybe it will get here sooner.

My VIN ends with 210464 so we were pretty close on the line.

That's cool that our cars have really close vins. You have an easy vin to remember as well.

I originally was't going to get my car untill the 7th as stated by ERL, but the date jumped up to the 3rd when my dealer checked in "Conceps." I guess the railcars are running quicker now.
