Extended Warrenty Question

Does the extended warrenty apply to any Ford dealership? I bought my car at a dealership about 45 minutes from me and I want to take it to one about 15 minutes from my house, but I need a loaner (which is part of the VSP deal) but i was wondering if this would be an issue or not.

In a word - yes - more or less.

Its going to partly depend on what kind of extended warranty you purchased. Many dealerships offer non-Ford extended warranty packages (either their own or ones they re-sell). I just came from a Ford delaer - as a Service Advisor. You would be surprised how many people thought they had a "Ford" extended warranty - when they really didnt.

The Ford warranty is applicable at any Ford dealership. The other warrantys are in most cases applicable but there may be some deductable if you dont take it to the dealer you purchased from.

Hope that helps some

Well I have Ford's ESP and I'm still covered under the basic 3/36K mile coverage with the car, but that doesnt mean I have a rental though...

When I bought my car, I got the extended warrenty from the dealer in Sunrise Florida, when I got home to Virginia I found out that it was only good in florida at that dealer. I had to call then and cancel it.

I never nedded the Extended warrenty anyway because the quality of the car is better than I expected. I am hard on my car at the track and I have been hammering it for two years and shes like new. I got hooked on Modding it so the warrenty was a pain in the ***.

Good Luck, hope you like your new car, and Have fun

Well I had a really bad experance with a 02 SVT Focus I had...so thats the reason I got the extented warrenty. The car has been pretty much perfect since I got it, but its done some strange things since I got it back Monday after an accident...I'm thinking they are just gremilins that pop up and go away.

Good Luck, hope you like your new car, and Have fun
Been enjoying it for the past year an a half
