Exhaust ???

I just installed the FRPP GTA mufflers (Shelby GT - H) on my '07 GT/CS. They sound great and the tips are the best. when i ordered them, i also got the X-pipe. I have not put the X-pipe on yet. I have seen a few threads that say the X-pipe will take away from the deep sound (and i don't want that). Should i just forget about the X and keep the H on?

As the first person on this forum to install both the FRPP/Shelby X-Pipe and the GTA's, I can tell you that the X will only make it sound better. It will not take away from the lower sound of the GTA's. I get compliments on the sound all the time.

I've read that FRPP X pipe will generate a higher pitch tone , but Craig has personally attested that it doesn't, and by the sound of Graypny's vid, I'd say go for it

Hey Grabber, you have defiantly had a white Christmas! In General the X- pipe under hard acceleration does produce a different sound note! I wouldn't say its higher pitched put that X-pipe on if you don't like it theres always other options..

GRAYPNY doesn't look like that anymore but thanks for the compliments. The GTA and X-pipe combo just keeps getting better and better as I put more miles on it. People ask me all the time what kind of exhaust setup I have. A big thanks to Graig for being the test mule!

Guys:

I was just talking to a guy at a place called Galpin Auto Sports here in LA - they do alot of work on Mustangs. I asked him about the FR Axle Backs and FR X-pipe and he recommended Bassani X pipe, high flow cats and Magnaflow axle backs. He showed me the Bassani which had a much larger opening between the pipes.

I had rented a Shelby and loved the sound of WOT, so I was looking to duplicate it when I get my new GT - hopefully soon.

Anyone have any thoughts on the combo he recommended vs. what you guys have?
