I just called the AUTOMATIC Status Line and all it says is that they are closed for the holiday. That's ridicolous that you can't even use the automated system. I was hoping to hear my build date got moved up.

Well, the dealers are on vacation, and they are the ones supposed to be using the system, so why should people that aren't supposed to be using it still have the system in place?

Surely they will still pull this week as normal. Or will they do it on a different day?

Probably a good thing, one less day of having to darn near shout T-8-2 at my phone.

Of course they still have to pull the orders for next week (or however far out they plan for), so probably back to calling on Saturday or Sunday.

Plus I can't forget the weekly call to my dealer, just to check up on things--although I am really hoping he tells me they just happen to have a car that matches mine and asks if I would be interested in taking an early delivery. I'd probably fall over with a heart attack if we actually have that conversation.

If the system says it's closed for the Holiday I don't think you're going to find out anything until early next week when the plant opens again.
My car had been listed as 'shipped by convoy carrier' on 12/14 and I had a dealer ETA week of 12/31, then moved up to week or 12/25, so I checked on Christmas Eve for an update and the system was closed, and didn't open until 12/27 when I got the update 'vehicle at the ramp'.
Based on what happened with my order your best bet is to check on Monday.

Allocations will probably pull on Friday as usual, but the information won't be updated til Monday.

I think the robot chick responds better if you say "WE HATE YOU"
Even though we don't always mean it she seems to respond a little quicker. But DON'T TRY THAT WITH AN ANALYST or you may never get your car!!

Ok, in case it didn't click... when asked for the body type try saying "We-Hate-You" instead of "T-8-2"

She'll either accept that right away or hang-up because you upset her! ha!

Oh darn, I can't use a private number that I shouldn't even have access to.

I have not been calling the robot lady since I got a live person a couple of weeks ago and he told me not to call that number. He said I should only call the dealer. So today I called my dealer and he told me there is only one order in front of mine. Two weeks ago the dealer told me there were five orders in front of mine. He said to check back in a week and he can tell me more. I'm getting excited! But I guess I still can't get the banana dance yet.

Yeah, I've only used it twice and I wasn't surprised to hear that I'm "clean and unscheduled." I just called to hear what everyone else was hearing. Just out of curiosity. Then again, as Altoid said, we're not even supposed to have access to the number. Who let the cat out of the bag? Or is it "who opened Pandora's box?" Sometimes I think we just get more agitated by hearing a mechanical voice tell us that we're not getting our cars any time soon!

I don't plan on driving myself crazy by calling the so-called "Evil Robot Lady" every day. I'm in for the long haul here; I figure I'll be waiting at least four months before I'm anything other than c&u! I'd rather be pleasantly surprised. My sympathies to those who have had to endure the production issues during their wait. I can only imagine how nerve-wracking it must have been.

Everyone who has taken delivery says you forget the wait once it's your turn. I trust they're right!
