So who else has gotten this little cardboard box in the mail titled "The Essential Kit for new Mustang Owners" It's a $500 off coupon and a pack of Orbit gum. Not really sure what list I am on to recieve this. Too bad the coupon is only for automatics and can't be combined with x-plan.

 

Got mine yesterday, but wife had already taken the gum! Anyway it sucks that it is auto only since I got my invoice last night as well for my 5spd. Hopefully ford will realize they need to reverse the ration on 5spd and auto or at least closer to 50/50. Ford has always done that crap though look at the ratio of manual to auto for the 65-73 mustangs.

 

It's because the majority of Americans either do not know how, or refuse to drive stick on an everyday basis. The auto in the S197 is better than the auto in previous generations as well. When I asked local dealers about ordering a car, they said it could be an extra month wait if I wanted the manual over the auto.

 

I got one too - about a year too late. Oh well. I wouldn't have gotten an automatic anyway.

I have no idea, I don't even have a new stang. Must have been from signing up for info from Ford or something?

 

I also received one of these today. Funny thing is, my wife said I had a perma-grin when I originally picked up my '06 GT.
